Janice Marinelli President
Marinelli has one of the most unique and multifaceted roles within the industry. She is responsible for distributing both theatrical releases and television programming from global entertainment giant Disney/ABC across a variety of platforms, including physical (Blu-ray/DVD), electronic home video license, VOD, SVOD, pay-TV, basic cable, broadcast TV, syndication and digital licensing. Last year Marinelli strategically led the in-home division into unsurpassed areas of growth, capitalizing on the studio’s immense box office success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In 2016 the division boasted four best-selling digital titles in the top 10 and is already setting records in 2017. Digital sales for Moana, Marvel’s Doctor Strange and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story are topping the charts, with the epic action-adventure thriller Rogue One projected to climb even higher. Most recently, Marinelli oversaw two unprecedented SVOD agreements with Hulu for all 180 episodes of classic sitcom “The Golden Girls,” as well as ABC’s hit comedy series “Black-ish.”
Susan McLain SVP, Product Marketing and Distribution
McLain leads product marketing and marketing strategy across all in-home platforms, which includes oversight of in-home release plans, overall product lifecycles, windowing and cross-brand strategies. In addition, McLain directs consumer marketing for Disney Movies Anywhere, as well as the marketing campaigns in collaboration with the division’s digital retail partners. McLain and her team’s significant contributions helped bolster four titles into the digital top 10 in 2016 — Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, Zootopia and Finding Dory. Most recently, she led global product management for Moana, which reached the digital top spot with its release this year.
Lindsey Green, VP, Pay-Television and DigitaL Sales
Green negotiates in-home distribution agreements for Disney/ABC’s motion pictures and television programming across a wide array of media platforms and businesses. She pursues key electronic home video licensing and VOD agreements for the studio’s films with North American MVPDs and digital retailers including iTunes, VUDU, AT&T, Google Play and, most recently, Comcast Xfinity. Green and her team also secure digital licensing opportunities for the company’s television assets, with deals currently in place with iTunes, Microsoft Movies & TV, Amazon Video and PlayStation, among many others. In addition, Green has played an instrumental role in the tremendous growth of cloud-based digital movie service Disney Movies Anywhere since its launch in 2014.
Yulia Poltorak VP, international Television and Digital Distribution
Poltorak manages the international in-home business on behalf of The Walt Disney Studios. She works in close conjunction with each sales team in nine regions outside of North America that execute in-home licensing agreements. Poltorak and her team support international in-home distribution for the studio’s slate across multiple platforms, including electronic home video license, VOD, SVOD, FTV, pay-TV and physical; additionally, they lead digital global accounts relationships. She also strategically advises on international in-home strategies and tactics to maximize the commercial value of the studio’s content. Recently, Poltorak expanded her team to include oversight of product development and marketing in the international space.
