Cinedigm Inks Distribution Pact With Hannover House

Cinedigm May 12 announced it has entered into a multiyear deal with Hannover House’s releasing unit, Medallion Releasing, to distribute the latter’s indie DVDs and Blu-ray Disc titles.
Cinedigm’s distribution agreements include most of the mass-merchant and big-box retailers such as Walmart, Kmart, Target, Costco, Best Buy and Sam’s Club. In addition, Cinedigm will assist with production solicitation, in-store merchandising strategies and consumer marketing related to store placement support.
“Hannover House has always had an ability to recognize consumer trends, emerging stars and film topic matters that have driven strong commercial results," Bill Sondheim, president of Cinedigm Entertainment, said in a statement.
The deal provides Cinedigm with a pipeline of marketable films, television series and specials including, Dark Awakening, Brutal Colors, Salvation and Union Bound. Additionally, Cinedigm will handle the North American home video rights to 10 bigger-budget theatrical releases from Medallion that are being presented at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
