Vubiquity is expanding its digital distribution network through a partnership with ICX Media, an upstart multiplatform company with a stated goal of helping independent video creators monetize content.
Washington, D.C.-based ICX Media has developed a single-interface analytics platform that allows creators to manage, market and monetize their video content across Web and mobile platforms. By partnering with Vubiquity, ICX Media will be able to deliver premium content globally. Vubiquity, in turn, gains access to content holders.
Los Angeles-based Vubiquity works with film studios, TV networks and independent producers distributing content to more 1,000 video distributors globally encompassing 109 million households.
“Harnessing the rich data and analytics backbone ICX Media is building will enhance our ability to match content creators and video distributors rapidly and effectively,” Darcy Antonellis, CEO of Vubiquity, said in a statement.
Antonellis, a former senior technology executive with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, said ICX Media’s beta program would help Vubiquity deliver “fresh, compelling video content” to its affiliates.
With $2.5 million in financing, ICX Media’s beta opened earlier this month. Users can sign up to use ICX Media’s beta for free at .
“Our mission is to empower content creators by providing them with a single platform to access dozens of distribution and marketing channels, services and applications. Our relationship with Vubiquity is a significant step towards that goal,” said Michael Avon, CEO of ICX Media.
