Tribeca Shortlist App Embedded in Samsung Smart TVs

Tribeca Shortlist, the subscription streaming video service co-owned by Lionsgate and Tribeca Enterprises, Aug. 16 announced its app is now embedded in Samsung Smart televisions.

Available on most Internet-connected TVs, the app helps viewers find movies fast through Samsung’s “preview” pane, which highlights new content available on Tribeca Shortlist without needing to first open the app.

Tribeca Shortlist’s movies and Shortlists — themed video recommendations from renowned actors, filmmakers, insiders and leading voices in entertainment called Shortlisters — will soon appear in Samsung’s universal search feature.

“Tribeca Shortlist is excited to extend our platform footprint to Samsung Smart TV, our very first native smart TV app,” Tribeca Shortlist president Jeff Bronikowski said in a statement. “We are impressed with how easy Samsung has made the experience of discovering and watching our great content, and we think consumers will be too.”

Launched in October 2015, Tribeca Shortlist features a collection of critically acclaimed movies that are updated monthly, plus Shortlists to guide users to the personal favorites of the service’s Shortlisters.
