Starz to Bow on DirecTV Now

Starz Nov. 10 announced that pay-TV mainstays Starz, Starz Encore and Starz Encore Westerns would be available on AT&T’s pending DirecTV Now service.

At launch, the $35 monthly DirecTV Now will feature 100 channels, including eight Starz channels featuring movies and on-demand access to current and past Starz Original series such as “Power,” “Outlander,” “Ash vs. Evil Dead,” “Survivor’s Remorse” and upcoming “American Gods.”

Movies include Disney’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

“With the addition of Starz and Starz Encore, we are continuing to build a robust streaming platform,” Dan York, CCO at AT&T, said in a statement.
