Sling Bows Cloud DVR Access on iOS, Windows 10 and AirTV

Sling TV June 22 announced rollout of cloud-based DVR access for iOS and Windows 10 devices, plus the AirTV Player. The Dish Network online TV platform launched in 2015 but did not offer video recording until this year.
Cloud DVR is currently available on AirTV Players, Amazon Fire TVs and Fire tablets, Android mobile devices, Android TVs, Apple TVs, iOS devices, Roku, Roku TVs, Windows 10 devices and Xbox One consoles.
Subs can purchase 50 hours of DVR storage for $5 per month to record movies and TV shows. Unlike other cloud-based DVRs, content saved on Sling will not be automatically deleted over time — as is the case on PlayStation Vue after 28 days. YouTube TV saves recorded content nine months.
In addition, DVR subs can record content on Fox channels, which include Fox local networks, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), Nat Geo and FX. Subs with Xbox One can schedule, manage and watch DVR recordings.
Other features include: Protect — an option that lets customers keep a recording for as long as they are a DVR subscriber.
DVR Folders — a setting that automatically groups shows from one series into a single folder.
Record from Franchise — the ability to record a show or series from its franchise screen, so customers can see episodes available on-demand and set a recording for new episodes as they come out.
