Shout! Factory Launches 'Summer of Fear' Campaign

Shout! Factory’s Scream Factory home entertainment horror brand is launching a “Summer of Fear” campaign that will include live online screenings, social media interactions and exclusive interviews with talent from some films, including director John Carpenter.
For three Fridays in June, horror fans will be able to access live screenings of select films via SummerofFear.com and Scream Factory’s official YouTube channel, youtube.com/ScreamFactoryTV. Set in a retro, drive-in style theater format, the webcasts include Assault on Precinct 13, presented by director Carpenter (June 6, 7 p.m. PST), Night of the Demons presented by director Kevin Tenney and actress Amelia Kinkade (June 13, 7 p.m. PST), and Witchboard presented by director Kevin Tenney (June 20, 7 p.m. PST).
From Scream Factory, May saw the DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases of Final Exam, Evilspeak, Nosferatu the Vampyre, The House in the Alley and Sleepaway Camp, with 11 more horror films coming this summer, including Ravenous (June 3), The Monkey’s Paw (June 17), The Final Terror (July 1), Lake Placid (July 8), Deadly Eyes (July 15), Ginger Snaps (July 22), The Phantom of the Paradise (Aug. 5), Without Warning (Aug. 5), Motel Hell (Aug. 12), Leviathan (Aug. 19) and The Legend of Hell House (Aug. 26).
Throughout June Scream Factory will feature weekly deals on six selected releases; exclusive, custom-made Scream Factory-branded drink coasters will be offered with the purchase of sale items; and sale items will be communicated to fans via Facebook and Twitter.
