Netflix has begun streaming episodes from the second season of political thriller “House of Cards” in ultra-high-definition 4K resolution.

Netflix, which filmed select episodes of the first season of “Cards” in 4K, in January at CES announced a partnership with Samsung and LG to stream the series and others in 4K on the manufacturers’ compatible UHD TVs.

4K resolution offers about four-times the clarity of 1080p resolution. To view it requires a compatible UHD TV, in addition to a broadband channel capable of delivering more than 15 Mbps.

“It’s available everywhere Netflix is available and the first TV sets are hitting reviewer’s desks and store shelves now,” Netflix spokesperson Joris Evers wrote in an email.
