26 Jan, 2016 By: Erik Gruenwedel

IndiePix Films Jan. 26 launched , a $5.99 monthly subscription streaming service offering access to more than 400 independent movies, short films and documentaries — many recognized at noted film festivals such as Cannes, Tribeca, Venice, Sundance, SXSW and Rotterdam.

Titles include Ondi Timoner's Sundance Grand Jury-winning documentary, We Live in Public; 2009 Cannes Camera D'Or winner, Samson & Deliah; Iranian artist Shirin Neshat's feature-length debut, the Golden Lion-nominated Women Without Men; and Paola Mendoza's Entre Nos, among others.

Content can be streamed to a desktop computer, laptop, tablet and via free iOS and Android apps.

IndiePix will update the service monthly with new content, such as the recently released post-apocalyptic sci-fi fable Crumbs, winner of the Special Jury Prize at the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival; and the Ryan Gosling-produced White Shadow. Other films include Mouton, a Locarno Film Festival Opera Prima Award-winner; The Winter, a magical realist fantasy from Greece; and On the Road, a summertime adventure from the Dominican Republic.

"We've long made it our mission to push provocative, independent films into the U.S. marketplace and introduce fans of world cinema to new, emerging voices and IndiePix Unlimited gives us a platform to do that in a meaningful way," CEO Barnet Liberman said in a statement.
