FandangoNow, the transactional video-on-demand service co-owned by NBC Universal and Warner Bros., has signed a deal with Showtime to sell episodes and full seasons of the pay-TV channel’s select original series.
Episodes cost from $2.99 in standard-definition to $3.99 in high-definition; and from $38.99 for complete seasons.
Programs include critically acclaimed series “Billions,” starring Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis. Additional shows include “The Affair,” “Ray Donovan,” “Dexter,” “Californication,” “House of Lies,” “Episodes,” “Penny Dreadful,” “Twin Peaks,” “The Tudors,” “The Borgias,” and acclaimed documentary Listen to Me Marlon.
“We are thrilled to offer their premium programming on FandangoNow," Fandango chief marketing officer Adam Rockmore said in a statement. "We are kicking off the [deal] … just in time for a summer ‘Billions’ binge.”
Earlier this year FandangoNow announced a distribution deal with HBO Home Entertainment. Under the deal, Fandango is offering individual episodes from current and catalog original TV shows, including “Games of Thrones,” “Girls,” “Band of Brothers,” “The Night Of,” “Westworld,” ‘True Detective,” “Divorce,” “Ballers,” “Veep” and “Silicon Valley,” among others.
