Fandango Getting SVOD Channel on Hulu

Movie ticketing platform’s ‘FrontRunners’ interview series, among others, to be featured
Fandango, the online movie ticket platform, Jan. 6 said it has partnered with Hulu Plus to launch its first original content channel. The deal was disclosed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Fandango original content includes interview show “FrontRunners,” hosted by Fandango’s chief correspondent Dave Karger; “Weekend Ticket,” a weekly movie recommendation series; “Reel Kids,” an open forum where kids offer their opinions about the movies; and “Mom’s Movie Minute,” a parent-to-parent advice show that helps families decide which movies are right for their children.
“Our Hulu partnership helps us extend Fandango video content onto new platforms, meeting a growing demand for premium movie-related content among moviegoers and Hulu fans alike,” Paul Yanover, president of Fandango, said in a statement.
Fandango-owned MovieClips claims 9 million subscribers on YouTube averaging 230 million views per month.
