Baseball fans will want to pick up A&E’s Official Major League Baseball World Series Film Collection ($229.95), which includes each highlight film made from 1943 to 2008 on 20 discs.

Though the first series was played in 1903, the first highlight film was made in 1943, when a short summary of the Fall Classic was prepared to update U.S. troops fighting in World War II.

The films range from basic highlight reels to more complex documentaries produced for recent championship teams. The set includes empty slots for future discs, and fans can start with Shout! Factory’s newly released video of the 2009 Yankees championship.

Collectors willing to splurge a bit can pick up one of 100 “signature line” copies, autographed by 12 Hall of Famers, including Yogi Berra, Bob Gibson and Reggie Jackson. The limited-edition sets are available exclusively from for $2,299 each.
