Sony CEO to Deliver CES Keynote23 Oct, 2013 By: Chris Tribbey
Sony Corp. CEO Kazuo Hirai has been tapped to deliver the keynote address at January’s International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
His Jan. 7, 8:30 a.m. presentation will be followed by a state of the industry address by Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association.
“Sony is a global brand synonymous with innovation and cutting-edge technology,” Shapiro said. “There is no better way to kick off the world’s greatest innovation event than a keynote from one of the leading brands in the industry, bringing content and technology together to transform the way we live, work and play.”
Hirai was appointed president and CEO of Sony in April and began his career with Sony Music Entertainment Japan in 1984.
