Popcornflix Pops Past 400,000 Downloads on Roku

The free online movie platform Popcornflix has exceeded 400,000 downloads on the streaming player Roku.

The success comes in accordance with Roku’s recent launch in the United Kingdom and Canada, now making Popcornflix available in those countries as well.

A free Popcornflix Roku app also was recently launched for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

Roku offers hundreds of entertainment channels, including Popcornflix, in the newly expanded markets, which increases the accessibility for Roku users to view hundreds of theatrically released titles and indie films starring top actors.

Users can search by title, actor or director, or browse for movies in a wide variety of genres.

Popcornflix is an ad-supported platform and is owned by Screen Media Ventures LLC.
