Video Quest Closing After 30 Years

Venerable video store Video Quest in Joliet, Ill., is calling it quits after 30 years, proprietor Tom Hannah posted on his Facebook page.

Hannah was a longtime member of the Video Software Dealers Association, which became the Entertainment Merchants Association after merging with the Interactive Entertainment Merchants Association in 2006.

In a Facebook message, Hannah attributed the decision to age (62) and economics.

“House paid for, no debt … got some $$$ in IRA … time to relax a little,” Hannah wrote.
