Starbucks Sept. 27 announced it would stream the second season of its reality TV series, “Upstanders,” on Amazon Prime Video.
The 11-episode series about ordinary people making a difference in their communities will be available Oct. 10 online at www.Starbucks.com/Upstanders and on Amazon Prime Video through the Amazon Video Direct self-publishing service.
Audible, seller and producer of downloadable audiobooks and other spoken-word entertainment, will also make “Upstanders” available as a free audiobook.
Each story in the series is written and produced by Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz and Rajiv Chandrasekaran, a former senior editor at The Washington Post.
“The 'Upstanders' series is all about telling stories of ordinary people who demonstrate extraordinary courage. Rajiv and I hope this series will inspire everyday citizens to give something of themselves in service to others,” Schultz said in a statement.
Actor Michael B. Jordan (Creed) narrates each episode.
“So much of what makes a great story is in what you hear,” said Andy Gaies, chief content officer at Audible. “Jordan’s beautiful narration brings these inspiring stories to life in an extremely intimate and approachable way.”
