Projections: 'X-Men' Looks to 'Deliver' Again
3 Nov, 2014 By: John Latchem
Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past is in a good position to top the disc sales charts for a third week if it can outperform a modest slate of new releases. The chief competition is likely to be Sony Pictures' Deliver Us From Evil, which earned just $30.6 million at the domestic box office.
Other notable new releases include Anchor Bay's Begin Again, which grossed $16.2 million domestically, Universal's Wish I Was Here, which earned $3.6 million, and Lionsgate's documentary America: Imagine the World Without Her ($14.4 million).
On the rental chart, the biggest title coming off its 28-day holdback is Universal's Chef, so the previous week's top titles, Universal's Neighbors and Sony Pictures' Sex Tape, are likely to remain high on the chart. Deliver Us From Evil should debut highly as well.
