Projections: ‘True Grit’ Takes Aim at Top Spot
13 Jun, 2011 By: John Latchem
As the slate of new DVD and Blu-ray releases begins to pick up steam heading into summer, several titles are emerging as contenders for the top spots on the sales and rental charts.
Paramount Home Entertainment’s Western True Grit, a popular box office draw with $171.1 million domestically, is favored to top the sales and rental charts its first week in stores. However, if viewers are in the mood for a comedy, then Sony Pictures’ Just Go With It ($103 million) could overtake it.
