Projections: Time for 'X-Men' to Top Disc Sales
20 Oct, 2014 By: John Latchem
Fox's X-Men: Days of Future Past, the seventh film in the superhero franchise, should coast to the top spot of the home video sales charts for the week ending Oct. 19. The film grossed $233.92 million at the domestic box office, far above the $111.51 million earned by the week's other major release, DreamWorks Animation's Fox-distributed animated film Mr. Peabody & Sherman, which could debut as high as No. 2.
Warner's Edge of Tomorrow, the previous week's top seller, should also continue to perform strongly.
On the rental chart, Warner's Godzilla and Fox's The Fault in Our Stars came off their 28-day holdback from Redbox and should move into the top rental spots.
