29 May, 2017 By: John Latchem
Fox's Logan is likely to lead a strong field of newcomers to debut at No. 1 on the home video sales charts the week ending May 28.
The film, touted as the final appearance by Hugh Jackman as the "X-Men" character Wolverine, earned $226 million at the domestic box office,
Other big titles new to disc include a pair of high-profile releases from Universal: the socially conscious horror-thriller Get Out, which earned $175.2 million in U.S. threaters, and the historical actioner The Great Wall, which earned just $45 million domestically despite starring Matt Damon. Also new is Lionsgate's animated Rock Dog, which earned $9.4 milion domestically.
On the weekly rental chart, The Great Wall is tracking to take the top spot after bypassing the typical 28-day delay imposed by Universal on new releases at Redbox kiosks.
