Projections: 'Jurassic World' to Dominate Disc Sales
26 Oct, 2015 By: John Latchem
Universal's Jurassic World should ride its huge box office gross to an easy No. 1 debut on the home video charts. The summer blockbuster earned $651.5 million at the domestic box office to become the biggest film of the year, and No. 3 on the all-time list (and tops among films not directed by James Cameron).
The only other new release likely to place highly on the chart is Fox's Paper Towns, a teen romance that earned $32 million domestically.
That likely leaves the previous week's top seller, San Andreas, dropping into third.
On the weekly rental chart, Pitch Perfect 2 comes off its month-long holdback from Redbox kiosks and should take the top spot.
