Projections: 'Insurgent' Taking Over the Charts
9 Aug, 2015 By: John Latchem
Lionsgate's Insurgent is set to take over the home video sales and rental charts for the week ending Aug. 9.
The sequel to Divergent earned $130.2 million at the domestic box office, down slightly from the first film but still enough to make Insurgent one of the biggest films to arrive on disc in a while.
The previous week's top seller, DreamWorks Animation's Home, should still manage to come in No. 2.
On the rental chart for the week, Insurgent should easily take the top spot since it doesn't have to wait 28 days to show up in Redbox kiosks. Warner's Get Hard should drop to No. 2.
