Projections: Here Comes the ‘Bridesmaids’
26 Sep, 2011 By: John Latchem
The hits keep on coming. Universal’s comedy Bridesmaids, with a $169 million domestic box office take, is poised to top the sales chart the week ending Sept. 25.
Paramount’s Thor, in its second week, should land in the No. 2 spot, though with Bridesmaids embargoed at kiosks, Thor should top the rental chart for a second week.
The wild card is Disney’s re-release of Dumbo; recent releases of Disney’s animated classics have tended to jump to the top of the charts on their debuts.
