Projections: 'Green Hornet' Set to Sting Charts
9 May, 2011 By: John Latchem
Sony Pictures' The Green Hornet, having grossed nearly $100 million at the domestic box office, is the top new release of May 3 and is the likely top seller and rental its first week in stores.
Warner's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 1, having spent three weeks in the top sales spot, could slip to No. 2. The only other major new release, Universal's The Dilemma, is expected to debut at No. 3.
The 28-day kiosk embargo for Universal's Little Fockers came to an end May 3, so that comedy hit should rise up the charts to a possible No. 2 on the rental chart.
