Projections: 'G.I. Joe' on Mission To Top Sales
5 Aug, 2013 By: John Latchem
The surest bet among the new releases at the end of July is that Paramount’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation shouldn’t have much trouble topping the sales charts for the week ending Aug. 4, after securing a respectable $122.5 million at the U.S. box office.
The question is how the chart will fall in after Retaliation, and if new nontheatricals such as Warner’s Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox and Disney’s Teen Beach Movie can earn a high placement.
With most of the rental market mired in delayed new releases, Retaliation should top that chart as well.
