Projections: 'Fifty Shades Darker' Eyes Top Disc Sales Spot
15 May, 2017 By: John Latchem
Universal's Fifty Shades Darker is looking to take over the No. 1 spot on the home video sales charts the week ending May 14. The erotically charged sequel earned $114.43 million at the domestic box office.
With Fifty Shades Darker leading a slow week for theatrical films debuting on disc, some of the high-profile recent releases should round out the top spots, including the previous week's top seller, Universal's A Dog's Purpose, Lionsgate's La La Land, Sony Pictures' Underworld: Blood Wars and Disney's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
On the weekly rental chart, Fox's Hidden Figures has come off its month-long embergo at Redbox kiosks and should take over the top spot.
