Projections: An ‘Unknown’ Future Awaits
27 Jun, 2011 By: John Latchem
Three new titles released June 21 could contend for the top sales spot.
The biggest box office draw among them is Warner’s Liam Neeson starrer Unknown, with $63.7 million. Not too far behind is Universal’s sci-fi romance The Adjustment Bureau, which earned $62.5 million domestically. Family friendly Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules earned $52.6 million.
Since all the major new releases are from studios with 28-day embargoes at Redbox and Netflix, the top spots on the rental chart shouldn’t change much.
