Projections: '22 Jump Street' Sets Sights on Top Spot
24 Nov, 2014 By: John Latchem
Though the fourth-quarter field is starting to get crowded, Sony Pictures' 22 Jump Street should emerge as the top selling and renting disc for the week ending Nov. 23.
The comedy sequel, which stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, drew an impressive $191.7 million at the domestic box office.
Strong holdovers such as DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon 2 and Disney's Maleficent should secure high chart spots as well, if they hold off the likes of newcomers such as Anchor Bay's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
The rental chart should see Universal's The Purge: Anarchy coming off its 28-day embargo at Redbox to score a high spot.
