Cinram Buys JVC America
14 May, 2014 By: Chris TribbeyToronto-based Cinram is buying JVC America, the company announced May 14, giving Cinram the JVC Kenwood subsidiary’s manufacturing and distribution facilities in Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Kennesaw, Ga.
JVC America specializes in manufacturing and fulfillment of gaming software for gaming publishers, as well as software publishers, online retailers and subscription-based clubs.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Cinram expects to close the deal within 30 days.
“Video games are one of the pillars of our global media business,” Cinram CEO Steve Brown said in a statement. “This acquisition supports our games group significantly and allows us to further develop our offerings to our media clients.”
