Redbox Instant Comes to LG TVs

LG Electronics’ latest connected HDTVs now offer the Redbox Instant application, joining Xbox 360, Apple devices and Samsung Blu-ray Disc players among other consumers electronics to carry the service.

Google TV and Vizio are the next consumer electronics devices expected to carry Redbox Instant, the new digital streaming, rental and download-to-own service that pairs four DVD rentals at Redbox kiosks with unlimited streaming of content from Warner, Lionsgate, MGM and Paramount titles for $8 a month.

The service also offers electronic sellthrough and transactional VOD options for new releases on street date from NBC Universal, Paramount, Lionsgate, Relativity and Sony Pictures.
