'Pinocchio' Getting Disney's 'Signature' Treatment in January

Walt Disney Studios' next animated classic to receive its 'Signature Collection' treatment will be 1940's Pinocchio, on Digital HD Jan. 10 and Blu-ray Jan. 31.

The new edition includes hours of vintage bonus material and exclusive extras including a reinvented rendition of “When You Wish Upon a Star” from Disney’s Maker Studios; never-before-seen artwork from the film’s Pleasure Island sequence; archival recordings of Walt himself during the production of Pinocchio; and a recently restored and scored 1927 short featuring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.
 
Pinocchio is the story of the wooden puppet given life by the wish of the carver Geppetto. With his faithful friend Jiminy Cricket by his side, Pinocchio embarks on a quest to learn the virtues needed to become a real boy.
