Disney Beefing Up 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Blu-ray in November

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment is rolling out a new Blu-ray of Star Wars: The Force Awakens with a 3D version and new bonus features this fall.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens — Collector's Edition will be released worldwide starting Oct. 31, with a U.S. release Nov. 15.

The film earned $936.7 million domestically and $2 billion worldwide at the box office, and the intitial Blu-ray and DVD release April 5 set sales records.

The new four-disc edition will include the seventh episode of the "Star Wars" saga on 3D Blu-ray, 2D Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD, as well as all the bonus material from the April release.

New extras include an audio commentary with director J.J. Abrams, deleted scenes and several featurettes — "Foley: A Sonic Tale" and "Sounds of the Resistance" focus on the creation of sounds for the film; "Dressing the Galaxy" looks at the film's costumes; "The Scavenger and the Stormtrooper: A Conversation with Daisy Ridley and John Boyega" offers an interview with the film's stars; and "Inside the Armory" looks at designing the saga's weaponry.
