GameStop to Offer Blue PlayStation 3 for $250

GameStop will exclusively offer a blue-colored PlayStation 3 for $250 beginning Oct. 8, the retailer said Aug. 27.

The release will come just under a month before Sony Computer Entertainment releases its next-generation console, the PlayStation 4, with a list price of $399.

The blue PS3 console will be available exclusively at U.S GameStop and Canadian EB Games stores, and will include a blue, wireless controller and a 250 GB hard drive, capable of holding more than 1,800 games, 140 movies, 99,000 songs and 40,000 photos.

The system can be preordered beginning Aug. 28.
