Warner Tag Teams With WWE for Animated ‘Scooby’ Crossover
17 Aug, 2012 By: John LatchemWarner Home Video and WWE Studios are teaming up to produce a new animated Scooby-Doo adventure that would find the Mystery Inc. gang solving a case at WrestleMania.
WWE Superstars and Divas including Triple H, John Cena, Kane, The Miz, Brodus Clay, Santino Marella, Sin Cara and AJ will appear in animated form and lend their voices to the project, as will WWE boss Vince McMahon.
The story involves Shaggy and Scooby winning tickets to WrestleMania, where a mysterious ghostly bear threatens to ruin the show, leading the gang to work with the WWE Superstars to solve the mystery.
Warner Bros. Animation will produce the movie, which will be distributed on DVD, Blu-ray, VOD and digital, with extensive marketing through WWE properties.
The “Scooby-Doo” franchise has a rich history of pop culture crossovers, with earlier adventures that teamed the gang with the likes of Batman and the Harlem Globetrotters.
