'The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption'

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has slated Hostel: Part III for release on DVD Dec. 27 (prebook Nov. 24) at $26.99. The straight-to-video sequel to torture horror films Hostel and Hostel: Part II features Brian Hallisay (“Privileged”), Kip Pardue (Remember the Titans), John Hensley (“As the World Turns”), Chris Coy (“True Blood”), Skyler Stone (“Raising Hope”) and Sarah Habel (Whip It). The DVD features a commentary with Pardue and director Scott Spiegel.

Meanwhile, Universal Studios Home Entertainment will release The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption Jan. 17, 2012. Starring Billy Zane, Ron Perlman and Victor Webster, the direct-to-video sequel to the action film The Scorpion King (an offshoot of the “Mummy” franchise, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson), which already spawned a DTV prequel, The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior. The Blu-ray and DVD each will include a deleted scenes montage; a making-of featurette; a featurette with Webster, who is a black belt champion, on preparing for his role; deleted and extended scenes; and a commentary with director Roel Reiné.
