Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Names Fleeher Worldwide CFO

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, in accordance with its efforts to globalize operations, has appointed Jeff Fleeher to the newly created position of  worldwide chief financial officer.

In his new role, Fleeher will develop a financial and operational strategy to support UPHE’s 11 operating companies around the world. Additionally, he will drive business operating mechanisms to monitor and further develop the group’s key financial metrics, ensure rigorous controllership across the business and directly support all commercial growth opportunities. Fleeher reports directly to UPHE president Eddie Cunningham.

“Jeff is an effective strategic leader and proven collaborator with an immersive, dynamic background in entertainment,” Cunningham said in a statement. “His institutional knowledge, expertise and vision for our future will be critical to our ongoing success as we continue to advantageously navigate the global home entertainment marketplace.”

Fleeher most recently served as NBCUniversal's EVP and CFO of strategy content distribution, managing financial matters, strategy and business operations for the distribution of NBCU’s cable networks, network-owned NBC and Telemundo broadcast stations, regional sports networks and Olympic Games content across the cable, satellite and telecommunications industry. Prior to that, he served as SVP and CFO of the NBCUniversal Television Networks Distribution and Digital Distribution group.

Before joining NBCU, Fleeher was a part of GE’s corporate audit staff, where he focused on financial and operational assignments in the United States, Europe and Latin America. Fleeher joined GE in 2001 as a member of the Junior Officer Leadership Program, where he completed sales and strategy roles for GE Energy.

Fleeher is a graduate of the Boston University School of Management and holds an MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
