13 Jul, 2017 By: Stephanie Prange

Keith Feldman, president of worldwide home entertainment for 20th Century Fox Film, has announced a new senior leadership team that will manage marketing and distribution globally across the transactional media business.

Feldman has appointed Dan Mackechnie, EVP of North America distribution; John Migliacci, EVP of digital accounts; and Julia Howe, EVP and co-head of marketing. James Finn will continue as EVP, co-head of marketing, and Mary McLaren will continue as COO. All report to Feldman.

“This leadership team represents the business acumen, data driven consumer insights and marketing prowess needed to push the disc and digital business forward globally,” Feldman said in a statement. “They reflect Fox’s relentless focus on the consumer, and determination to shape and influence the business through strong retail partnerships and the development of consumer-centric marketing strategies that drive ownership consideration across all our products.”

The newly announced team will develop global, go-to-market strategies that leverage emerging business models and enhanced formats, including Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD with high dynamic range and virtual reality, according to a press release.

McLaren’s role will expand to lead strategic efforts to optimize the supply chain and information systems, as well as oversee rapidly developing emerging markets, including direct distribution efforts among the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) nations and more than 60 licensed territories. She will continue to manage critical distribution partnerships with MGM, eOne, NatGeo, DreamWorks Animation and Annapurna.

Mackechnie and Migliacci will drive the division’s strategic alignment and business growth across key retail partners, including Amazon, Best Buy, Comcast, DirecTV, Google Play, iTunes, PlayStation, Sky, Target, Walmart (including Vudu) and Xbox. Mackechnie, who previously led the division’s global finance strategy, will lead all customer facing teams for the U.S. disc business, as well as oversee the Canadian operation, across digital and disc, including Fox’s joint venture with eOne. Migliacci will lead the teams responsible for driving digital account performance and advancing the division’s key strategic initiatives across domestic digital and global OTT partners.

Howe, previously SVP of new-release marketing, will now oversee the full product portfolio of new-release, catalog and TV. Also, together with Finn, she will develop the division’s strategic marketing approach, while also cultivating campaigns that connect with a global audience.
