Steve Beeks Re-Upped for Three Years at Lionsgate
7 May, 2015 By: Erik GruenwedelVeteran home entertainment executive Steve Beeks had his contract extended by Lionsgate for three years through April 1, 2018, according to a regulatory filing.
Beeks, who joined Lionsgate in 2003 with the acquisition of Artisan Entertainment, maintains his positions as co-COO and president of the motion picture group.
The executive oversees Lionsgate’s day-to-day operations along with co-COO Brian Goldsmith, reporting to CEO Jon Feltheimer. Within the motion picture group, Beeks reports to co-chairs Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger, both of whom joined the mini-major with the 2012 acquisition of Summit Entertainment.
In addition to a $950,000 base salary, Beeks is eligible to receive 75% of his salary in an annual bonus determined by the board’s compensation committee. He was also granted 350,000 combined shares of restricted, performance-vested and time-vested stock options based on achieving select performance goals.
