Paramount Promotes Miyata

12 Oct, 2016 By: John Latchem

Paramount Home Media Distribution has promoted Dennis Miyata to SVP of international digital distribution. He reports to Bob Buchi, president of worldwide home media distribution for Paramount Pictures.

He had been serving as VP of digital distribution for Asia Pacific and Latin America, managing Paramount’s transactional digital distribution in more than 50 territories.

“Dennis has done a tremendous job growing our diverse digital business across an array of markets and we are delighted that he will be extending his strategic skills to more territories around the world,” Buchi said in a statement. “This promotion is well-deserved and we look forward to Dennis’ ongoing contributions as we maximize our expanding international opportunities.”

Miyata will be adding oversight of Europe, the Middle East and Africa to his responsibilities, with Alastair Frusher, VP of digital distribution for EMEA, and Howard Hsieh, VP of worldwide digital business development, reporting to him.

Since 2008, Miyata has been driving the growth of Paramount’s digital businesses, including EST, VOD, pay-per-view and more, for some of the largest and most rapidly emerging international territories, representing more than 4.5 billion people.

Prior to joining Paramount, Miyata helped lead new business development at Panasonic and CCC/Tsutaya in Japan.
