Google Ventures Hires Craig Kornblau

Google Ventures (GV), the venture capital unit of Google parent Alphabet Inc., has hired Craig Kornblau, former president of Universal Studios Home Entertainment, as .

Kornblau headed the home entertainment studio for 16 years, overseeing sales, marketing, distribution and finance. He has held board positions with the Consumer Electronics Association, Digital Entertainment Group and Next Level Communications.

Kornblau joins a diverse advisory team, whose expertise includes artificial intelligence, sustainable energy, healthcare, social media, the U.S. Navy, leadership and cyber security, among others.

“Craig Kornblau is a master storyteller and consumer marketer, honed through his years of experience at NBC Universal and Disney. At the time when physical and digital businesses were beginning to converge, Craig forged sales and supply chain strategies that were game changers in the media industry,” David Krane, CEO of GV, said in a statement.

Kornblau says his goal will be to meld Hollywood studios with GV’s business units.

“I want to help the founders forge game-changing retail and e-commerce sales and supply chain strategies for their businesses,” he told Deadline.com.
