DEG Appoints 2017 Communications Committee

DEG: The Digital Entertainment Group has announced its incoming Communications Committee, chaired by James Finn, EVP of corporate and marketing communications at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, and vice chaired by Liz West, VP of publicity at Walt Disney Studios.
The committee, representing digital and physical platforms within the home entertainment ecosystem, reports to the DEG Board of Directors.
“The Communications Committee plays a pivotal role in how we evolve the ways we connect with consumers, media and partners,” stated DEG president Amy Jo Smith. “I’m looking forward to working with the engaged group of executives that reflects both our membership and the marketplace.”
“Entertainment and technology together will define the future of our industry, and developing programs and campaigns that showcase the ways we are creating compelling experiences and products for consumers will be a top priority,” Finn said in a statement.
In addition to Finn and West, committee members include Daniel Spinosa, GM of pay-per-view and commerce at Comcast Cable; Michelle Slavich, head of entertainment communications at Google/YouTube; Brandt Haynes, SVP of product management and global production and operations at HBO; Amelia Rogers, VP of worldwide home entertainment publicity at Lionsgate; Brenda Ciccone, SVP of worldwide publicity at Paramount Home Media Distribution; Marty Gordon, VP of strategic partnerships and alliances at Philips Electronics; John Dolak, VP of corporate communications at Sony Electronics; Stephanie Varlotta, VP of Technicolor Entertainment Services Marketing; Andy Fixmer, VP of global communications at Universal Music Group; Lea Porteneuve, SVP of global publicity and communications at Universal Pictures Home Entertainment; and Emily Zalenski, VP of publicity at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment.
