Jim Lanzone also continues as CEO of CBS Interactive
CBS Corp. June 13 named Jim Lanzone its first chief digital officer. Lanzone, who joined CBS in 2011 as president of CBS Interactive, will continue as CEO of CBSI.
In his newly created position, Lanzone will oversee all digital matters at CBS, including ensuring the company has a coordinated digital media strategy across its many divisions. This includes cultivation and growth of new digital streaming services, in addition to furthering development of subscription streaming service CBS All Access and ad-supported platform CBSN.
Under Lanzone’s leadership, CBSI’s audience has more than doubled. He was promoted to CEO of CBS Interactive in 2013.
“For the past five years, Jim has built a successful business and organization at CBS Interactive, which is now a thriving and profitable operation,” CEO Les Moonves said in a statement.
