Alliance Entertainment Names Former CEO to Board

Distributor Alliance Entertainment announced that its former CEO Alan Tuchman has taken a position on the board of directors committee effective Aug. 3, 2017. 

As head of Alliance for more than years, Tuchman guided the company through many profitable years, according to a press release from the company.

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Alan to our board and look forward to his contributions,” Bruce Ogilvie, chairman of the board, said in a statement. “Alan brings valuable expertise to areas we define as our yearly goals: managing operational costs, increasing our customer revenue base and introducing new product offerings. Alan has many contacts with key executives in this industry, both on the sales and purchase side, many on a first name basis and his honesty, integrity and performance are legendary.”              

“My focus on the board will be to deliver my knowledge and skills to a company with a proven track record of successful profitability and cash flow,” Tuchman said in a statement. “I wholeheartedly look forward to working with the members of the board and a dynamic team like Alliance. Alliance has some challenging goals ahead and I am honored they think that highly of me to include me in achieving these goals.”    

Alliance distributes products including CDs, DVDs, videos, video games and related merchandise, and offers e-commerce fulfillment capabilities and technology and support services, including third-party logistics services. Its two operating units — the Distribution & Fulfillment Services Group and the Information Services Group — deliver services from distribution and fulfillment to infrastructure for brick-and-mortar and Web-based retailers.
