Brooke Ford and Jeff Deutchman

Independent film and television distributor Alchemy Oct. 6 announced the promotion of Brooke Ford to EVP of marketing, acquisitions and productions, and Jeff Deutchman to SVP of acquisitions and productions.

In addition to continuing to spearhead traditional platform and day-and-date marketing campaigns, Ford will now oversee Alchemy’s film acquisitions team. She will report to CEO Bill Lee.

Ford joined the company when it was operating as First Look as SVP of theatrical marketing in January 2006 and was promoted in August 2007 to EVP of marketing, a title she maintained through the company’s transition to Millennium Entertainment and the launch of Alchemy. Prior to First Look, Ford worked at 20th Century Fox and Paramount Classics.

Deutchman will continue to curate the company’s project pipeline as it continues to expand and diversify its existing distribution systems and report to Ford. He joined Alchemy as VP of acquisitions in November 2014 when it was still Millennium. He previously worked at Paramount.
