Paramount Home Media Distribution July 30 said it has promoted Syrinthia Studer to SVP of marketing and acquisitions.
Studer will be responsible for spearheading the division’s content acquisitions with an eye on procuring film projects and licensed properties for worldwide distribution across multiple platforms. She will also continue to oversee home entertainment marketing efforts on behalf of Paramount’s network and cable brand partners.
The division has recently ramped up with distribution deals for high-profile titles including the Sundance sensation A.C.O.D., starring Adam Scott, Amy Poehler and Jane Lynch; the independent horror comedy Ghost Team One; and the provocative drama Adore, starring Naomi Watts and Robin Wright.
Studer, who most recently served as VP of brand marketing and was responsible for overseeing marketing strategy, product planning and development of home entertainment releases on behalf Viacom Media Networks, CBS, Showtime and PBS, as well as Paramount’s own original digital productions, reports to Amy Reinhard, EVP of GM of PHMD, in Los Angeles.
“[Studer] has proven herself to be an immensely capable leader and we look forward to her continuing contributions as she and her team build and enhance our home media business,” Reinhard said in a statement
