Warner's 'Proof of Life,' 'The Pledge' Bring Suspense to VHS/DVD June 19

Proof of Life and The Pledge will be available for rent on VHS, while the DVD will be priced at $24.98 SRP.
Crowe (Gladiator, TheInsider, L.A. Confidential) and Meg Ryan (You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, WhenHarry Met Sally) provide the star power and the sparks for the R-rated Proof of Life, and Taylor Hackford (The Devil's Advocate, An Officer and a Gentleman) directed.
The Proof of Life DVD is available in Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and 16x9 widescreen format. The DVD includes a behind-the-scenes documentary, "TheMaking of Proof of Life," hosted by actor David Caruso ("NYPD Blue") and a feature-length commentary by director Taylor Hackford, as well as the original theatrical trailer, cast/filmmaker career highlights and Englishand French subtitles.
The R-rated The Pledge, directed by Sean Penn, features Nicholson as a retiring Nevada homicide cop who becomes obsessed with his final case after promising the victim's family he would find the killer. In addition to Nicholson (As Good As It Gets, A Few Good Men), the cast features Robin Wright Penn (Unbreakable, Message in a Bottle), this year's best-supporting male actor winner, Benicio Del Toro (Traffic, Snatch), Sam Shepard (All the Pretty Horses) and Mickey Rourke (Get Carter).
The Pledge DVD is available in Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and 16x9 widescreenformat. The DVD includes cast/filmmaker career highlights, the originaltheatrical trailer and English and French subtitles.
