Showtime Networks’ TV Everywhere service is now available on the Xbox 360, and will hit the Xbox One as well later this year, the cable network announced.
Showtime Anytime is available for free to Xbox Live members who subscribe to Showtime, and offers unlimited on demand access to Showtime programming, as well as live broadcasts of the network’s East Coast and West Coast feeds.
“The launch of Showtime Anytime on Xbox 360 is the logical next step in the expansion of our service,” said Tom Christie, president of distribution, business development and network operations for Showtime Networks. “Our goal is for our subscribers to have the ability to access their favorite Showtime series wherever, whenever and however they want to watch across multiple platforms, so we're excited to bring our award-winning programs to Xbox Live’s growing membership of millions.”
The app supports voice and gesture controls for the Xbox Kinect, and non-Showtime subscribers will still have the ability to preview content and watch free episodes of some shows.
Showtime Anytime is available to subscribers of AT&T U-verse, Blue Ridge Communications, Bright House Networks, Cablevision's Optimum TV, CenturyLink Prism, Charter, Comcast Xfinity, Cox Communications, DIRECTV, Google Fiber, Grande Communications, MCTV, Mediacom, Time Warner Cable and Verizon FiOS.
