Genius Brands, which has undergone management changes in recent years after a short-lived attempt as a major packaged-media distributor, is reintroducing "Baby Genius" to a new generation of toddlers and their parents.
“PBS Distribution is the perfect partner to help us re-launch Baby Genius entertainment, and significantly expand retail distribution of its substantial catalogue of songs and videos throughout the U.S. and Canada,” Moynihan Heyward, president of Genius Brands International, said in a statement.
Earlier this year, Genius Brands unveiled updates to the Baby Genius characters designed by Todd Goldman as part of an overall brand re-launch that includes new designs, new products and new entertainment. With a new distribution partner, the company expects to increase distribution and retail sales of this evergreen content at all major retail outlets.
“Baby Genius has a catalog of classic nursery rhymes, learning songs and holiday songs that fill an ongoing demand from parents,” Debbie Ries, managing director of children’s distribution for PBS Distribution, said in a statement.
