'Lara Croft' Breaks Out of Tomb Nov. 13

Paramount Home Entertainment selected Nov. 13 for thestreet date for the feature-laden DVD, as well as a rental-priced VHS version of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (prebook Oct. 22). The DVD prebooks Oct. 10 at $29.99 presented widescreen and enhanced for 16x9.
With $130 million box office in its domestic theatrical run and Oscar winner Angelina Jolie already signed for a sequel, the DVD has been in the works for months and features commentary from director Simon West (The General's Daughter) and four featurettes. The 25-minute featurette "Digging Into Tomb Raider" is also included on the VHS version. Other featurettes exclusive tothe DVD are "Crafting Lara Croft," which details Jolie's three-month training regimen to prepare for the film; "The Stunts of Tomb Raiders" and "Are You Game," a look into the Tomb Raider game phenomenon. Paramount included a three-level demo game titled Chronicles on the DVD.
