‘Consumer Reports’ Says Online CE Retailers Beating Brick-and-Mortars
30 Oct, 2008 By: Chris Tribbey
The results of Consumer Reports’ latest study (Nov. 4 issue) shows online electronics retailers are moping the floor with brick-and-mortars.
Amazon.com and Crutchfield.com stand out as two of the online retailers that consumers turn to for electronics. For physical stores, independent retailers — such as like Apple. Sony and Tweeter — were doing better than their big-box counterparts.
The issue rates 36 electronics stores based on 38,000-plus consumer purchases during the first half of this year.
